SD-WAN Networking Case - Data Center

I. Requirements and Background

A Z enterprise is a large multinational enterprise with multiple data centers distributed in different countries and regions. Stable and efficient network connections between data centers are required for data sharing and collaboration. However, the traditional MPLS leased line network has high cost and long turn-up period, which cannot meet the rapid development needs of the enterprise. Therefore, the enterprise hopes to optimize the network connection between data centers and improve network performance and stability by deploying SD-WAN technology.

II. Challenges

2.Traditional MPLS leased line networks are costly and do not meet the needs of enterprises to reduce costs.

III. Networking Arrangement

In order to meet the above demands and solve the challenges, the enterprise decides to dock with Ogcloud and deploy SD-WAN technology to optimize the network connection between data centers. The specific networking arrangements are as follows:
1.Hardware selection: Select SD-WAN equipment that meets the needs of the enterprise, and choose appropriate hardware equipment according to the scale of the data center and network bandwidth requirements.
2.Connection method: The network is organized through the combination of Internet and private line to ensure stable connection between data centers. The main data transmission between data centers is realized through MPLS leased lines, while the secondary data transmission is realized through the Internet, so as to achieve load balancing and redundant backup of the main and auxiliary lines.
3.Configuration optimization: According to the traffic characteristics and priorities between data centers, SD-WAN equipment is configured and optimized to ensure priority transmission of key data and improve data transmission efficiency.
4.Security policy: Deploy security features, including encrypted transmission, firewalls, etc., to ensure data security between data centers.

IV. Comparison before and after networking

Before deploying SD-WAN, the enterprise’s inter-data center network connection was unstable, with high latency, high packet loss, and low data transmission efficiency. After SD-WAN is deployed, the stability of network connection between data centers is significantly improved through intelligent routing, traffic optimization and load balancing, the latency and packet loss rate are significantly reduced, and the efficiency of data transmission is greatly improved. At the same time, the flexibility and scalability of SD-WAN enables the enterprise to quickly open network connections to new branches to meet the needs of business development.
